About
Marée & Miette is a fictional restaurant created to demonstrate the Linen design by Get Plated. Its story, menu, events and contact details are original showcase material.
Marée & Miette imagines the kind of neighbourhood bistro we always hope to find near the water: polished enough for an occasion and easy enough for lunch without a plan. The menu begins with what arrived from the coast and the market, then borrows the patient techniques of French home and bistro cooking to make those ingredients feel whole.
There is no trick to the food, but there is plenty of work behind it. Shells become bisque, fish frames become stock, onions colour slowly and butter is whisked in at the last moment. The plates stay composed and generous, with enough sauce to justify another piece of bread.
Bread is not an opening formality here. It arrives warm, returns when the sauce does and gives the restaurant half its name. Miette means a crumb—the small evidence that a good meal has been properly enjoyed. By the end of lunch, we hope there are very few left.
